For the Bjelovar-Bilogora County it can be said that it is the county of sports fish-ponds, and the rivers Česma, Ilova, Toplica, Bijela, Velika..., which run through it, as well as numerous sleeves, old armlets of these rivers, complete the array of sports-fishing terrains.

On more than 50 hectares of closed sports fishing waters, a sports angler is offered the possibility of recreation, as well as catching the capital fish specimens. The anglers who like "urbanized" natural surroundings have at their disposal sports fish-ponds in every town and in almost every municipality of the County.

In fish-ponds and rivulets the most represented species are: carp, gras carp, Prussian carp, catfish, pike, American catfish, as well as sundry white fish. The County can pride itself with the trout brooks located near Daruvar.
